So my girlfriend and I broke up about 5 weeks ago. She sat me down and explained that she gets attached too easily and she didn’t want this since she is going off to college next year.
We stayed pretty close friends. We never got to serious during our relationship, so it wasn’t real awkward hanging out after the breakup.
While we were dating we would send each other “love quotations” over the phone every night. Obviously, that stopped after the breakup, but recently, every once in a while, she will send me another one.
I didn’t think too much of it until a few nights ago when she sent me an email telling me that she was never quite honest with me about her feelings for me and apologized.
Then last night we hung out with a large group of friends and met up at a movie. We drove separate, but on the way there she sent me a message: “please sit next to me in the movie”.
I did, but she didn’t make any attempt to hold my hand or anything, so now I am a little confused. I really am still in love with her, but because of that, I think I may be giving myself false hope here. Do you think she still has feelings for me?
