I am 20 years old, and am currently going out with a 21 soon to be 22 year old girl. I currently transferred from a community college in PA to a college in North Carolina to be closer to her. We went a full year, last year, as a long-distance couple. We decided to live together during the summer, and after a fairly rough summer, I am now in North Carolina. Throughout our relationship, I have always found it hard to be completely comfortable, and this is my first serious relationship. I now feel rather stuck being in NC but having feelings that I do not think I want to spend the rest of my life with this woman. I miss my freedom, my friends, my family, and just doing whatever I want to when I want to. She, to me, is fairly high maintenance, and fairly controlling. I know deep down she is a great person with a great heart, but I feel like I am just wasting our time by staying together. Should I stop delaying the breakup and grow some balls, or should i let it ride out?
Is it bad to deep down feel that a big piece of you would be missing if you did dump her? I realize that I feel like that now though, and would probably get over it in time.

After a bad 4th breakup we stopped talking but I missed him and sometime in November we started talking again. He wanted to get back together but I didn’t want to rush things I told him to slow down and wait a while and see where things go.After three years of procrasinating, i finally gave in and had sex with him. We we’re “officially” together but I loved him trusted him, and thought it was right. I was a virgin and he was not. HE DID EVERYTHING ABSOLUTELY WRONG but i faked it so that I didn’t hurt his feelings. I told him I was scared to do anything with him because I thought he wasn’t going to want me afterwards but he said “Nah. Why would I wait three years just to do that to you?” and I believed him.Now, he isn’t talking to me and he “supposedly” didn’t want a relationship with me. WTF?
