Ex kept forgetting me for these kinds of things. Give him that and find yourself something else to do. Sometimes it’s a symptom that they need time to themselves, it’s not a bad thing. With my ex we just choked each other by not leaving us enough of this kind of “me” time. If he has his fun time he’ll be happy to talk to you once he’s done. If he calls too late you can try to be “too busy” at the moment and postpone it to later too. If done lightly or with humor it passes better than nagging.
