Whoever says “don’t worry, you’ll get over it” is in my opinion, incorrect. That’s not true. Whether it’s a death of a loved one, a broken relationship or a departure of someone who means something to you, the heart cries in all of these situations and God damn, it hurts so much. You can’t get over these things if you truly love somebody… and a part of you wants to hold onto the memories forever…
But time moves on whether you want it to or not. It has no mercy for those who want to live in the past. It’s up to you whether you decide to stand still and keep looking back and miss out on the great new stuff that comes your way cos you’re too busy reminiscing… or you can keep your head up, smile at the old memories because its what made who you are today… and embrace the new things that come your way. You may never stop loving him….but make sure you know it your heart you’ve had enough of his ways….I had a love once and we parted with unresolved issues and he has since passed away…so there is like NEVER getting past the memories, for me……Good Luck!!!

I think thats what love is. When you can’t let go of the memories. In the end, it’s all your decision, follow your heart, find out what you want most.
